I ship all over the world. If your country is not listed when you place an order, please email me through the contact page and I will set it up. Orders shipped outside of the UK are VAT free. You are responsible for paying any customs duties or import taxes.
From 1 July 2021, orders to the EU are sent by me ‘Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU)’. You may have to pay import VAT (and customs duties, if payable) and a handling fee in the receiving country. These charges will depend on the country I am delivering to, the value of the item and whether it is a gift or commercial goods.
Orders over £100 to UK addresses are sent free of charge by Royal Mail First Class Signed for (or equivalent service). Orders over £125 to Europe and £150 to the rest of the world are send free of charge using Signed for Royal Mail International services or equivalent.
Within the UK, I now use tracked services and you will received an email with your tracking reference once it has been scanned in at the delivery depot. I post out at least three times a week and aim to despatch your order within 5 days of receipt.
The delivery cost is calculated by the system based on the weight of the socks, plus a bit extra for packaging. If you want to calculate it yourself, the weight is shown on each product description. You can always contact us to find out what it will be.
Returns
If you wish to return a product for exchange or refund, please send it back to me, unworn and with its original packaging with details of where and how it was purchased, within 28 days of receiving your order. I will refund the cost of your original purchase excluding the delivery charge, when I receive the goods. This will generally be refunded in the same manner that you paid us.
The returns address is: Arbon Socks, 1 Wood Broughton Barn, Wood Broughton, Cartmel, LA11 7SJ.
When you receive your socks, if you find a manufacturing defect that I have missed, please contact me through the contact form or phone. I will then agree with you how to resolve the issue. Typical knitting issues include poorly joined toe seams, missed stitches and poorly finished cuffs. I can not accept claims for socks that have worn out more quickly than anticipated as the reasons for this are outside of my control. I do send out darning yarn free of charge if your socks have started to wear a bit thin.
My socks will not felt or shrink if they are washed according to the Care Information in this website. Please contact me if you require more washing advice.
