Alpaca Contrast Socks are designed for everyday wear by men and women. I choose alpaca fibre because it provides excellent insulation and wicking properties, keeping your feet warm and dry. The lightweight construction of the socks means they can be worn all year round. These socks are knitted to my specifications by traditional, family run sock manufacturers in the Scottish Highlands. The yarn is spun and dyed in the UK.
These are ankle length socks with a ribbed cuff. The cuff, heel and toe in the main colour and a plain knit body and foot.
There are three unisex sizes, small (shoe size 4-7), medium (8-10) and large (11-13). For EU Shoe Sizes and foot sizes, please see the Sizing Guide on every product page.
These socks contain 80% Alpaca. The remaining fibre is Nylon for stretch to give a good fit and improved wear.

A traditional Argyle wool sock for men and women, knitted in the UK. Like the Frome Fairisle, the Arbon Argyle is knitted in a very soft Falklands Corriedale wool with 25% nylon for stretch and durability.
The traditional Argyle sock pattern is knitted in three different colour combinations of greys, cream, olive, khaki brown, sky blue and pink. The sky blue colourway has diamonds of cream and pink with dark grey overcheck (the lines through the diamonds). The Dark Grey colourway has diamonds of Khaki brown and Olive with a Sky blue overcheck. The Cream colourway has diamonds of light and mid grey with a madder red overcheck.
The socks come in three main sizes: small which is a shoe size 5-7, medium size which fits shoe sizes 8 to 10 and the large for shoe sizes 11-13. We also have an extra small in the sky blue colourway for shoe sizes 3-4.
The yarn was spun and dyed and the socks knitted for us in the UK.

The Cashmere Lounger is a very special bed sock knitted in the Highlands from super-fine Scottish cashmere in subtle, marled shades.
These bed socks are ideal for for both men and women. There are three unisex sizes, small (UK shoe size 4-5.5), medium (6-8) and large (9-11). The Frome Fairisle sock is one of our newer sock designs. It's knitted in a very soft Falklands Corriedale wool with 30% polyamide for stretch and durability. This is a slightly longer dress sock with a plain knitted heel and toe and a plain ribbed cuff. The socks have been knitted for us in Scotland.
The traditional fairisle motifs are knitted in eight different colour combinations of greys, creams, madder, olive, khaki brown and blues. The Madder, Kent Blue, Olive and Gold colourways all have dark grey heel, cuff and toe. The Khaki, Blues and Blue Madder colourways have a mid grey heel, cuff and toe. Our new cream colourway uses colours of light blue, brown and charcoal on a cream base.
The sizing is slightly different to our other socks. The small which is a shoe size 4-7 has a leg length of 23cm or 9". The medium size fits shoe sizes 7.5-9.5 and the large, shoe sizes 10-12. Both these sizes have a leg length of 31cm or 12".

Ideal for Winter walking, these Mendip Hikers are thick and warm wool walking socks. Longer than our standard walking socks, they reach to mid-calf. The socks have a deep ribbed cuff and cushioned leg. The foot has a cushioned sole and a wide band of ribbing around the instep.

A comfortable, everyday, unisex sock with a contrast heel and toe. The Somerset Contrast is a warm, comfortable alpaca contrast dress sock. This sock is a slightly heavier weight than some of our other alpaca dress socks as it has been knitted a bit more closely. By mixing alpaca and wool, the sock has excellent insulation and wicking properties. The nylon gives the sock enough stretch to give a good fit over a range of sizes. The Somerset Contrast has a plain knit toe, sole and heel with a 1 x 1 ribbed cuff. I make these in three unisex sizes, small (shoe size 4-7), medium (8-10) and large (11-13).
Composition: 46% British Alpaca / 46% British Blue Faced Leicester Wool/ 8% Nylon. The yarn has not been superwash or shrink-resist treated, so please wash and dry gently.

The Stanbury Walker is a a traditional, cushion sole, sturdy walking sock in Exmoor wool. Made in the UK from fleeces of the North Devon Exmoor Bluefaced sheep and named after the local Lynton farmer, John Stanbury, who breeds the very sheep that supply the wool.

This is the new batch of Windermere Welly wool and alpaca welly boot socks. These knee-high socks have a cushioned sole, a wide ribbed long leg and a generous, single ribbed contrast turn-over cuff. If your welly boots have a lot of room in them, I would wear a thin pair of socks inside the Windermere Wellies This will stop your feet slopping around in the boots and causing excessive wear due to rubbing.
The fibre composition is 31% British alpaca and 47% Blue Faced Leicester wool from the North of England so that they are soft and warm with 22% nylon for fit, durability and so they stay up.
There are five coloursways: Grey/Turquoise, Midnight/Mustard, Olive/Aubergine, Mustard/Grey and Rust/Midnight. Each colourway is made in our standard sizes - Small (shoe 4-7), Medium (shoe 8-10) and Large (11-13).
These socks should be given a gentle hand wash. Dry flat away from direct heat.

The Yorkshire Plain wool sock is a ribbed short sock, suitable for both men and women. The ribbing makes the sock appear narrower than it is. They are made from a blend of 82% Yorkshire Blue Faced Leicester wool with 9% UK alpaca knitted with 9% nylon for stretch and added durability.
