Luxury Alpaca Knee High Walking Socks

Alpaca Knee High Walking Socks are wide-ribbed, turn-over top, cushioned foot  socks, ideal for keeping you warm during country pursuits.

These are knee length socks with a wide ribbed leg and cushioned, Terry Loop foot.  The socks have deep, single rib turn-over cuff.

They are available in natural white, large size (11-13 shoe size) only.

These socks have been knitted by a traditional, family run sock manufacturer in the UK Midlands.  The yarn from which they are knitted has been spun for us here in the UK.

Composition: 85% Alpaca / 15% Nylon.  The nylon content provides enough stretch to give a good fit.

Returns and Exchanges

If you wish to return unwanted items, please post them back to us, unworn, and with their original packaging within 28 days.  Please include details of your original order or where you purchased the item.  We can only refund or exchange items purchased directly from us.

Care Information
Our natural fibre, unisex socks are kinder to your feet than synthetic alternatives, but this means they need a gentle wash. We recommend our alpaca and wool socks are gently hand washed and rinsed in tepid water, squeezing gently rather than wringing.  A vigorous machine wash (whatever the temperature) with too much detergent or long spin, may result in shrinkage.

Leave to dry naturally and do not put in a tumble dryer.

This is the new batch of Windermere Welly wool and alpaca welly boot socks.   These knee-high socks have a cushioned sole, a wide ribbed long leg and a generous, single ribbed contrast turn-over cuff.  If your welly boots have a lot of room in them, I would wear a thin pair of socks inside the Windermere Wellies  This will stop your feet slopping around in the boots and causing excessive wear due to rubbing. The fibre composition is 31% British alpaca and 47% Blue Faced Leicester wool from the North of England so that they are soft and warm with 22% nylon for fit, durability and so they stay up. There are five coloursways: Grey/Turquoise, Midnight/Mustard, Olive/Aubergine, Mustard/Grey and Rust/Midnight.  Each colourway is made in our standard sizes - Small (shoe 4-7), Medium (shoe 8-10) and Large (11-13). These socks should be given a gentle hand wash.  Dry flat away from direct heat.

Cumbria Walkers are ankle length walking socks with a cushioned sole.  Like our Alpaca Walking socks, they have a single rib cuff and plain knitted body.  Alpaca and wool offer excellent insulation and wicking properties.  These are ideal walking socks for both men and women. There are three unisex sizes, small (shoe size 4-7), medium (8-10) and large (11-13).  The nylon content provides enough stretch to give a good fit. Composition:  British Alpaca / British Blue Faced Leicester Wool/ Nylon.
